# Falak > Falak is a self-hosted, open-source platform to deploy, run and observe apps on your own servers: git push deploys, databases, domains, logs and APM. A self-hosted alternative to Vercel, Railway, Heroku and Render, and an open-source (Apache 2.0) replacement for Laravel Forge, Envoyer and Nightwatch. Key facts: - Self-hosted: the control plane installs with one command on Ubuntu 22.04/24.04 or Debian 12 (amd64/arm64) as a Docker Compose stack with Let’s Encrypt. - Install: `curl -fsSL https://falak.sh/install.sh | sudo bash -s -- --domain falak.example.com --email you@example.com` - CLI for your own machine (macOS/Linux): `curl -fsSL https://falak.sh/install-cli.sh | sh`, then `falak login --url https://` with a token from Settings → API tokens. - Free to use; you pay only for your servers. Source: https://github.com/OthmanHaba/falak - Deploys Laravel/PHP (FrankenPHP or PHP-FPM, Octane), Next, Nuxt, Node, Bun, Deno, static sites (SPA fallback), Docker images, Dockerfiles and Docker Compose. - Git push deploys (one-click GitHub App), zero-downtime releases with automatic rollback, multi-server deploys with migrations on the leader. - Railway-style project canvas: projects, environments, services, variable references `${{ service.KEY }}`. - 32 one-click templates (n8n, Ollama + Open WebUI, Langflow, Nextcloud, Plausible, Umami, Ghost, WordPress, Forgejo, Paperless-ngx, Matomo, Uptime Kuma and more). - Databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB) with backups to S3/R2/B2; queue workers, Horizon, daemons, scheduler with heartbeats. - Generated sslip.io domains, custom domains with DNS instructions and live checks, automatic Let’s Encrypt. - Observability: Loki, Tempo, VictoriaMetrics or Mimir, Grafana; Nightwatch-style APM for Laravel (falak/apm-laravel) and an OpenTelemetry preset for Node/Bun/Deno. - Servers run falak-agent, a ~10 MB static Go binary using ~17 MB RAM, connected over mTLS (outbound only). - Not included (yet): pull-request preview environments, autoscaling, a global edge network. ## Docs -
